"A new generation of Mustang meets a new generation of McQueen"

FIVE FILMS, FIVE DAYS.

For the first time the Ford Mustang will be available in Europe as a right hand drive. This is a momentous occasion in European motoring where the true spirit of the American road becomes available to us on this side of the Atlantic. At Ogilvy Dublin we constructed an integrated activation campaign where we decided to bring this amazing car to the people across the land. Who better to bring the car around than Chad McQueen? Son of the very man who drove the iconic Mustang in the movie Bullitt Chad is a Hollywood actor with a love of all things Mustang too. Touring Ireland and filming each day over a week was a tall order but five film pieces were created showcasing the car, Chad and the spellbinding Irish landscape.

The week that was...

In this film we see Chad reminisce about what growing up around cars meant to him, his Dad's influence on how he looks at cars and how Ireland played a special part in Ford's history.

THE RESULTS ARE IN...

The Ford Mustang Run won the over all Grand Prix at the APMC awards.
As a result, the campaign subsequently went on to be entered in to three separate categories at the European-wide IMC Awards where it won two silvers and one gold.

Here is the case study video highlighting the success of the campaign - both the impact for the Ford brand and the media interaction.
